Future Directions and Challenges in Multi-modal Communications with Olfactory and Haptic Senses

摘要

In this paper, we focus on multi-modal communications with olfactory and haptic senses. We first introduce the challenges (i.e., problems to be solved) in the multimodal communications. Then, we explain our solutions for the challenges by taking remote ikebana and networked balloon bursting game as examples. Finally, we discuss the future directions of the research on the communications.
