InCamShare: An Automatic Playlist Creator Employs Users' Shared Experience on Mobile Devices

Thanks to growth in the number of mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, it becomes possible to enjoy a video on our hand. In this paper, we propose a novel method to share playlists with others. We developed a web-based playlist sharing system, 'InCamShare', that automatically creates playlists from users' shared mobile experience. We employed both a front camera on a mobile device and the face recognition software. It recognizes users' shared experience on mobile devices such as watching a video with others. We conducted a user study to investigate future direction of proposed method. Five experts participated in the user study and we ask them to use our system. In the user study, we had both observational investigation and discussion to each participant. The result shows that our proposed method has potentials for the future mobile experience.
