The authors propose a method for continuous monitoring of railway switch point blades based on radio frequency identification technology (RFID). Unlike the known monitoring methods, the method proposed allows to significantly expand the set of fixed diagnostic situations, as well as to control the mechanical parameters of moving elements of the switch. This paper describes the architecture of the continuous monitoring system with each level defined. A technical solution allows to use a wireless path based on a radio channel with an unlicensed frequency for the transmission of diagnostic information. The solution provides the implementation of central information processing without additional costs for the laying of communications.
