At the present time, there are so many computation requestsof the mobile computing on clouding environment. In thispaper, we addressed on the size and computation reductionduring image transferring to the mobile device. To dealwith this problem, the image processing techniques such asDiscrete Wavelet Transformation (DWT), block AveragePixels Value (APV), and block Representation Pixel (RP)have been used to compress images. The key concept of ourproposed light-weighted image coding is a lossy imagecompression technique which’s compress codes is adownscaled original image. Moreover, when the cloudsends the compressed small sized image to the mobiledevice for browsing, the decompression process InverseDiscrete Wavelet Transform (IDWT) or Neighboring PixelsAverage Value (NPAV) restoration scheme can be used tobackfill the small sized image to reconstruct a lossy originalimage if necessary. The advantage of our decompressionconcept is no extra information to be needed but only thesmall image itself for undergoing computation on themobile device. The experimental results showed that, thelossy image Lena restored from its small sized version hasPSNR 25.9 by IDWT, and the time cost of imagecompression and restoration only 0.0312 seconds.
