Abstract: As a result of growth parameter's optimization high optical quality lithium niobate single crystals with a diameter of 80 - 85 mm and a cylindrical part length of 110 mm were obtained. Investigations of the optical perfection of crystals were carried out by conoscopic method and light spontaneous parametrical scattering method. Lithium niobate single crystals are characterized by satisfactory optical quality for an application in production of optical elements for near infrared spectral region. !19
