There are hundreds of embedded applications. In this paper we look atrnenhancing of automobile using embedded controller. Engine control is an examplernof automobile electronics application. In fact the micro controllers, the heart of anyrnembedded system, were built in the first place primarily because of automobiles.rnFirst, we look at the Speed Control Module (SCM). The Speed Control Modulernconsists of three parts. The first one is Object Control System, which explains aboutrnthe implementation of speed control of the automobile with respect to the objectrnfound around it using Digital signal processor, the latter one is real time trafficrncontroller using real time image processing through pattern recognization and thernlast one provides control of efficiency through the road sensor. These provide thernautomobile with safe and secure drive. These all implemented using hydraulicrncontroller with the help of embedded controller. Next we see about the Securityrncontrol module. This consists of two parts, one is the security of the automobile andrnthe other is the self-testing the whole arrangement of the system. This includesrncaution indication if any failure in the devices while using the system. This projectrncan be implemented by using Digital signal processor.
