The Elders' Healthy Habitation —Searching for Chinese Elders' Ideal Habitation

The paper mainly analyses and investigates the developmental mode of our country's resthome. In the first place, Chinese elders' proportion is researched especially elders living without children. In succession, the paper exemplifies some developed countries' geriatric habitation to contrast with ours. In conclusion, the paper discusses ideal mode and developmental foreground from four aspects. Firstly, resthome is constructed in peaceful and graceful suburb with might and main; secondly, resthome should be separated into some less units in which elders can be inspired help each other and be seized of family feeling; thirdly, architects should be supposed to reclaim capacious active space offering elders a recreational ground, and different activities are classified according to different time of life; fourthly, our country's resthome should be technological, humanistic and particular.
