CLIMATIC IMPACT TO WATER CONDITIONS IN THEUNSATURATED AND SATURATED ZONEOF CLAYEY ROCKS

On the example of a model locality built by Cretaceous mudstones of low permeability, specific properties of thernhydrogeological conditions of the saturated and unsaturated zone of these rocks are presented in relation to climate. The assessment ofrnmutual relations between the climate and behaviour of the saturated and unsaturated zone is based on the results of fieldrnmeasurements. The field data obtained during several years of monitoring of the water conditions in the saturated and unsaturatedrnzone are confronted with the measured and calculated climatic characteristics. The results of several years of intense observations arernconfronted with long-term conditions.
