Combining with some research results, this paper discussed the mechanism of enhancing pile bearing capacity with pressure grouting of pile bottom. Based on site test, the grouting mechanism, main technique and effect of bearing capacity enhancing were analyzed. By means of Vesic spherical hole expansion theory, the compaction mechanism and development processes of pile bottom soil were discussed. The calculation formula of final grouting pressure at pile bottom and grouting pile capacity were put forward. Through comparison with site measurement, the formula is of good consistence.
