摘要

This paper deals with the formulation of a phenomenological model to assess the laboratory strength development in cement stabilized coarse grained soils with low fine fraction. Since both soil and cement are interacting materials with pore fluid, soil-water/cement ratio, w/C has been found to be an appropriate parameter in the analysis of strength development in their admixed state. The interrelationship proposed among strength, curing time and w/C is useful to assess the strength wherein water content and compaction energy vary over a wide range by using the test result of a single laboratory trial. This capability enables to pursue the reverse process to obtain required strength of soil-cement road, consistent with the in-situ properties of the soil.
