1. Guar gum is extracted with a high level of purity using two methods 1.1 Manual endosperm extraction followed by ethanol precipitation 1.2 Repetitive ethanol precipitation of aqueous solution of whole guar seed powder 2. FTIR can be used as a fast and non-destructive method to investigate the purity of guar gum and polymer degradation 3. TGA study confirms that the thermal behavior of MAT and MON are not significantly different 4. Ethanol purification has significantly increased the thermal stability of the MAT and MON 5. HPLC study confirms that the M/G ratios of MAT and MON are not significantly different and ethanol precipitation has significantly increased their M/G ratios 6. Method of purification has a significant influence on the M/G ratio and thermal stability of guar gum 7. Effect of different concentrations KCl and NaCl are different from each other.
