The overbinding problem in _Λ~5He is solved by a coherent Λ-Σ coupling which is equivalent to the ΛNN three-body force. This three-body force has a significant effect in the ground states of _Λ~4H and _Λ~4He. In _Λ~6H a particle-stable bound state appears with a largeΛ-Σ coupling enhanced by excess neutrons. The coherent Λ-Σ coupling becomes much more important in neutron matter at high densities: It causes large Σ~0 mixing of 5~25% at ρ= ρo~ 3ρo. The coherent mixing drastically affects the hyperon composition of neutron-star matter.
