Coupled map lattices, because of its simplicity in .analysis and simulation, has more popularity among the other models of characterization of apatio-temporal chaos in spatially extended systems. In this paper we proposed a method for controlling spatio-temporal chaos occurred in a one dimensional diffusive coupled map lattice. Control is achieved via a nonlinear delayed feedback control method. Suppression of localized spatiotemporal chaos observed in one dimensional coupled map lattice system is achieved using feedback control before. To compare with other methods of feedback control, This method is robust against model uncertainty, the other advantage of the method is that controlling each site does nc aeed information from other sites. Moreover, control signal vanishes when control is realized. Stability analysis and robustness of the method is proved.
