Compressed natural gas (CNG) is used as a vehicle fuel increasingly seen as a way ofreducing the exhaust emissions of the vehicles, particularly in inner cities area. Currently inthe world wide used the natural gas vehicles (NGVs) which fuelled with CNG only orgasoline and CNG (hybrid engine). In order to investigate the operating characteristicsbehaviour and exhaust emissions of the Multipla Fiat, therefore in this paper was studied theemission output and the performance characteristics of the vehicle “Multiplla Fiat” whichoperates only with CNG fuel. The external performance of this vehicle was determined withthe simulation code model and empirical by operating the vehicle on the chassisdynamometer to determine the power at the drive wheel and the traction force and also theexhaust pollutants of the vehicle was measured during the test. The results of this researchshowed the similarity between the experimental and the theoretical study by using simulationcode model.
