Most realistic systems are inherently nonlinear, and any control scheme based on linear system cannot achieve satisfactory performance within the entire operating range. So the need for more advanced and flexible controllers increases in industry. In this paper, a fuzzy model is first constructed for a hydraulic pressure system, and then the application of fuzzy model to Model Based Predictive Control(MBPC) is described. In this control scheme, the controller is also a fuzzy controller. The control results show that fuzzy MBPC performs better than linear MBPC and conventional PID controllers.
