Study on Prismatic Sealed Ni/MH Battery for Evs

摘要

10Ah to 100Ah series of Ni/MH batteries for electric vehicles have been developed by using a spherical nickel hydroxide positive electrode and a metal-hydride negative electrode which are all prepared by filling their active slurry into a nickel foamed matrix respectively. In this paper, the preparation of the electrodes and some characteristic of the batteries such as the internal pressure, temperature etc. are discussed. Those prismatic sealed batteries exhibit 50~70Wh/kg specific energy.
