Microelectronics education in japan

摘要

VLSI Design and Education Center (VDEC) was established in 1996 as an interuniversity center at the university of Tokyo for promoting education of VLSI design in Japan. VDEC is a kind of COE of VLSI design education, which covers mainly three functions; (1) providing educational information for VLSI design, (2) providing CAD software tools and (3) supporting implementation of VLSI chips. This paper describes its organization, facilities and activities with future plans.
