Multiple tunnel interaction was investigated using a geotechnical centrifuge. The advancement of a new NATM tunnel was simulated in-flight by using 12 separated airbags. A three-dimensional settlement bowl was measured. It is evident that the construction of the new tunnel had considerable effects on the existing tunnel. The existing circular tunnel deformed into an elliptical shape. Consistent distributions of bending moment and deformed tunnel shape were observed.
