Hybrid glass-polymer waveguide devices with thick polymer cover

摘要

Conditions were attained in a hybrid waveguide where the optical power in the polymer is significantly increased as compared to a thin polymer-overlay configuration and still keeping lateral confinement. Analysis and measurements are presented.
