Research on the Modernization of Marine Eco-environment in China—based on the Example of Zhejiang Province

Ocean is one of the cradles which nurtured the human civilization. As modernity which brings in well being to humanity, it also brews a global crisis in the marine environment. Reflecting on the modernity and resolving the paradox of marine economic development is one of the critical tasks in period of economy in transition. At the beginning of overview in marine eco-environment in China, taken Zhejiang Province as an example, this research analyzed the current problems in the marine environment, and then put forward a series of countermeasures to coastal marine ecology and environmental problems such as the theory of sustainable development, the propaganda and education of protecting marine environment, a new model of contamination joining the land and sea together and the adjustment of industrial structure.
