Characteristic macerate coming from lignite deposits of Ptolemais tectonic graben (Greece)

摘要

A number of characteristic macerals coming from lignite basin of Ptolemais is presented in this poster. Lignite deposits in Ptolemais provide the Greek economy with its most important source of fuel for electrical generation on which the electrification of the country depends. Today, from the lignite coming from Ptolemais area produces nearly 64% of the country's electrical energy. Collected samples are from several lignite seams from lignite deposits situated in Ptolemais basin. Moreover, all samples are from representative drillholes. The geological framework of the region is only presented briefly since the region has been already described in many studies.
