RESEARCH ON RAPID PROTOTYPING TEACHING COURSE IN ENGINEERING TRAINING

Rapid prototyping is also known as RP, and that is first available in the late 1980s.RP technology is revolutionizing the fields of manufacturing and engineering, and it can be used to produce models and prototype parts by the automatic construction of physical objects using additive manufacturing process.RP technology has great application prospects and becomes an important breakthrough in recent years.RP products are capable of creating appearance prototypes directly from digital data, allowing students to evaluate their designs in 3D.This paper introduces RPT training course in engineering training of the higher vocational education.Based on introduction of principle and main applications,new RPT teaching course mode is discussed in order to better carry out RPT practice teaching in engineering training, and develop student's innovative design.
