摘要

The BTA tool is a tool for deep-hole drilling. The deep-hole which be machined by this tool has the excellent straightness and roughness. However, a lot of cutting oil is used. Therefore, it will lead to environmental destruction. Thereupon, in this study, the near-dry system is applied to the deep-hole drilling with BTA tool. In the previously, the experimental device with a double tube system was designed, and experiments were performed. In this system, the chips are discharged through inside of the inner tube. Frequently, the cutting edge couldn't divide out chips by effect of adhesion. Thereby, the chips were jammed into the inside of tool. Experiments were performed with various cutting conditions. The parameters of the experimental condition are cutting speed and feed rate and chip-breaker height and width. Moreover, Chips discharge situation, adhesion situation and shape of the chips were observed. As a result, in the near-dry deep-hole drilling with BTA tool, optimum cutting conditions to continuous chip discharge are obtained.
