摘要

After a brief introduction to the nature, significance, and migration of cloud computing to the Pacific, this paper identifies not only a parade of ethical issues which surround the internet, but specifically considers those ethical zones impacted by the increase of cloud computing in the Pacific. Issues and cases will be shown to be either potentially benign (i.e. green light or pro-social) or malignant (i.e. red light or anti-social). Examples such as the “right to reply” debates in the Philippines, e-fraud in Sri Lanka, Internet intervention in Vietnam and on-line defamation are analyzed with reference to Verzosa’s (Philippines) insider insight. Practical recommendations and germane references follow.
