Extended Reward Measures in the Simulation of Embedded Systems With Rare Events

In this paper we have shown how the RESTART method for rare-event simulation can be applied to stochastic discrete-event systems containing more general performance measures than only the probability of one rare event. We extend the technique to general reward measures containing impulse and rate rewards.
