Design and implementation of direct-reading water metering system based on CAN Bus

摘要

This paper introduces a new type of direct-reading water meter and network meters reading system based on CAN Bus. This kind of water meter uses potentiometer to convert position of digital code wheel of water meter into voltage signals which will be input into micro-computer. The network meters reading system consists of direct-reading water meters, CAN Bus transceiver, repeater and database server. Every water meter has its own unique address, and several water meters forms a group, and data will be sent to CAN Bus transceiver serially. Through CAN Bus transceiver, repeater and carrier, network data transmission is realized. All information will be stored in database and make it very convenient to realize data publishing and querying.
