LASER SCANNING DEVICES: THE OPTICAL CAM SOLUTION

摘要

The paper presents an original solution regarding the laser scanning devices with rotating polygonal mirror. A curved-faces polygonal mirror is designed, with the shape of a multi-cam. The main idea is to self-compensate two of the main sources of errors that occur in the scanning process. As a consequence, the refractive optics included can have a most simple design, with means cost-effectiveness and quality-increasing of the scanning device.
