摘要

The application of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in college teaching curriculum is an important component of higher education reform in China. More and more people focus their attentions on the development and effectiveness evaluation of using ICTs to support teaching and learning in Chinese universities. Several basic ICTs including computer network, multimedia, video on demand (VOD) and database were introduced. A simple mathematical method base on multi dimensional vector space is proposed to evaluate the effort of ICTs application system in this paper. The effect and influences of ICTs were investigate and evaluated in different aspects: utility, feasibility, propriety, and accuracy. Overall effectiveness was defined as the Euclidean distance in the multi dimensional vector space, which can show the effectiveness index in a simple way.
