From G.I.S. to S.G.I.: from geographical information systems to systems for geodata interoperability

摘要

The transition from Geographical Information Systems (G.I.S.) to Systems for Geodata Interoperability is discussed in terms of cooperation among levels of interoperability. The focus of attention is on multi heterogeneous data set; the data discrepancies are also expiored. The Virtual Data Set (VDS) proposed by Vckovski is presented.
