Modernizing Loran Command and Control

摘要

The Remote Automated Integrated Loran (RAIL) projectrnis modernizing local transmitter command and controlrncapabilities for the U. S. Loran-C radio-navigationrnsystem. RAIL’s computer-based equipment suite works inrnconjunction with the new Locus Casualty ControlrnReceiver Set and the control station's Loran ConsolidatedrnControl System to provide improved local and remoterncommand and control capabilities. Additionally, RAILrnperforms the functions of the Electrical Pulse Analyzerrnusing a Digital Acquisition board to capture and analyzernthe transmitted Loran signal.rnThis paper presents the RAIL equipment suite, graphicalrnuser interface, and improved command and controlrncapabilities.
