Uniform chitosan microspheres with precisesize and size distribution were fabricated bycombining acoustic excitation, carrier stream,particle charging and water-in-oil emulsionmethod. Hardening of the microspheres wasdone by solvent evaporation. Reproducibilityand precision of the fabrication process wasenhanced by computer-based control of theacoustic excitation, carrier stream flow andparticle charging.
