Micronized insulin particles were generated byrnSupercritical antisolvent precipitation technology. Thernprocess variables were optimized and insulinrnmicroparticles were characterized. In vitro-in vivornevaluation of microparticles indicated that model proteinrninsulin retained its stability and biological activity afterrnsupercritical fluids treatment. Resultant product hasrnpotential of incorporation in pulmonary delivery systems.
