DISCUSSION ON FLEXIBLE INVENTORY MANAGEMENT MODEL FOR OVERALL SUPPLY CHAIN

Flexibility stands for the ability that system adapts to therninternal and external surrounding's change. In the 21st century,rnsupply chain management should be sufficiently embraced thernidea. Therefore, this paper puts forward the concept ofrnflexible inventory. From the point of view of overall supplyrnchain and workflow management, and based on the analysisrnof traditional inventory definition and the current supply chainrninventory management theory, such as Vendor ManagedrnInventory (VMI), Ally Inventory etc, we introduce a flexiblerninventory management model with Theory of Constraintsrn(TOC) and electronic commerce technology.
