摘要

Methylene blue based porcine albumin solder has been successfully used to reinforce the suturelines of vascular anastomoses formed with PTFE. A reduction in the bleeding time and blood loss was seen despite no significant differences being seen in overall anastomotic time or haemostatic time. There was a reduction in flow post operatively in all groups. No patency data was obtainable from this study and further work is required to produce a large animal model of vascular anastomoses using solder.
