The agent has contact haemostatic tissue having an acidic pH combined with povidone-iodine, where the haemostatic tissue is a chitosan based tissue and oxidized regenerated cellulose. The tissue is selected from groups of gelitacel(RTM: oxidized resorbable cellulose hemostatic gauze), resorcel(RTM: Not defined), promogran(RTM: collagen and oxidized regenerated cellulose) and surgicel(RTM: hemostatic agent). A layer of an incision margin protection unit (4) is realized by the tissue. The povidone-iodine is selected from groups of betadine(RTM: Not defined), betaseptic(RTM: Not defined), polydine(RTM: povidone-iodine solution), pevidine(RTM: based antiseptic) and isodine(RTM: iodinated polyvinyl polymer). An independent claim is also included for a device for active protection of margins of an incision to prevent development of infections.
