The considered computer communications scheme is based on the combinatorial design with pairwise balance property in which the interconnection is organized through replication of corresponding objects. For large applications, some modifications should be done in order o accommodate the interconnection structure to the structure of the application. In this paper, we investigate a possible solution called aggregate structure to overcome this limitation. A detailed traced driven simulation is given to evaluate the speedup for the suggested system. The speedup of a multiple-bus system with the same arrangement of replicated objects is also estimated. The simulation shows that this approach gives a comparable performance at an essentially lower cost than multiple-bus interconnection networks. This communication network is suitable for applications in distributed real-time systems because of its predicable behavior. This system provides a direct support to a distributed object-oriented programming environment.
