The scope of the research is to implement and expand the three-dimensionalrnhydrodynamic numerical modeling system to accommodate the sediment transport for anrnidealized ship channel. Due to presence of the baroclinic term, long-term circulation mayrndevelop convergence and divergence zones of near-bottom sediments. In episodicrnconditions, significant energy can either erode or sink the sediments. Two cases arernperformed for the study: (1) tidal force only drives the channel in the defined openrnboundary, and (2) similar to the first case, with an additional constant northward longrnshore current applied parallel to the coastline.
