The paper presents chosen research results of Hybrid Excited Claw Pole Machine with Laminated Rotor (HECPMLR). In introduction types and variants of hybrid excited electric machines have been briefly presented. Then a detailed proposal for the new construction of the claw pole machine was presented. During the research the influence of the permanent magnets width and current in the excitation coil on the back-emf and cogging torque in the claw pole machine with hybrid excitation and laminated rotor structure have been analyzed.
