Currently, many information systems (IS) departments and faculty are concerned about the status ofrninformation systems education and the role of information systems in both the undergraduate and graduaternbusiness core curriculum is being questioned internationally. The exploratory study described here examinesrnthe IS curriculum as it relates to accounting majors and the perceived needs of the business community, usingrnthe students in a graduate AIS class as research partners as a learning tool in the course.
