On behalf of the ASME Design Engineering Division (DED) and the Computers and Information in Engineering Division (CIE), we extend our warmest welcome to the ASME 2013 International Design Engineering Technical Conferences and Computers in Engineering Conference (IDETC/CIE), and to Portland, Oregon. We would like to thank all of the countless volunteers and ASME staff that have worked to bring you the technical program and conference experience, and we hope that you find it both a professionally beneficial and personally rewarding experience.
