As incoming Conference Chair I was certainly a lot more attentive to the ins and outs of the running and execution of this event. The more you delve into the 'behind the scenes' activity the more you understand exactly what goes into it. Over the past 3 years Dr Simon Otter has led the conference committee towards a more evidence based and research focused route in order to develop our practice, as well as using the time to network. Ensuring we embed our practice in research is something all health professionals are having to do and podiatry is no exception.
