摘要

Solid dispersion of curcumin with Solutol® HS15 at the weight ratio of 1:10 was prepared. The product exhibited excellent solubility, chemical stability and dissolution of the drug in various aqueous media. Physicochemical characterization revealed the formation of amorphous solid dispersion that was physically stable over the experimental period of 12 weeks. Pharmacokinetic study of the solid dispersion in rat showed that bioavailability of the drug was significantly improved as compared to pure curcumin.
