A Study about Design Education Device for form Modeling with VR

The reason why VRAD system is applied in early stages of architectural design is that it enables users to experience virtual space just like real world. Consequently, what is important in VRAD is designing of interface between external device and software. Interface plays a role of connecting mental model and concept model, and the cause of omission or slip of information in present modeling tool was assumed to be the absence of intuitive interface. As a method of solving this problem, early stage designing tool using VR was suggested and comparison experiment between "CRT-mouse" and VR Tool was performed. From this experiment, it was demonstrated that improvement of interface's intuitive with VRAD prevents omission or slip of information, shortens work time, and improves completion.
