BRAZED ALUMINUM PLATE FIN HEAT EXCHANGERS - CONSTRUCTION, USES, AND ADVANTAGES IN CRYOGENIC REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS

This paper will provide an overview of the components of a brazed aluminum heat exchanger (BAHX) and how Chart Industries designs, manufacturers, and tests them. An overview is provided of the range of uses for BAHX in cryogenic process refrigeration systems with an emphasis on debottlenecking ethylene production facilities by optimizing their refrigeration systems. Discussion is presented on the uses of BAHX and the advantages that they provide the designer of refrigeration systems and the owners of cryogenic refining facilities.
