Current situation of brazed aluminium plate-fin heat exchangers for cryogenic industry

Since its foundation in 1961, Sumitomo Precision Products (S PP) has been involved in the manufacture of a wide range of brazed aluminium plate-fin heat exchangers, including lubricant cooling equipment for aircraft, insulation oil coolers for heavy electrical machinery, a range of coolers for railway carriages, air separation equipment, and equipment for large-scale cryogenic industries. In this article, I describe the changes in the manufacturing technologies and the technical trends demanded by the market over the last several years, focusing for the most part on brazed aluminium plate-fin heat exchangers.
