Empirical Studies on First-mover Advantages of Online Game Enterprises

摘要

Basing on the theory of first-mover advantage of network economy, this paper analyzes Internet enterprise's source and the constitution of first- mover advantage in the environment of online game, and inquires into the problems of first-mover advantage in Shanda and Netease, then discusses the strategies of their obtaining first-mover advantage. The Research demonstrates that there exists entry order effect in network game industry and content innovation of online game is the key factor to obtain and maintain the first-mover advantage of online game industry.
