Considering that it is simplicity to evaluate the external corrosion condition withrnsingle factor, the key factors affecting comprehensive evaluation for externalrncorrosion are ascertained based on analyzing the effect of various factors, and whichrncontain soil corrosiveness, stray current, external covering state, cathodic protectionrneffect and pipe corrosion thinning. The model of weight distribution of key factors isrnestablished, and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation system of external corrosion forrnburied pipeline is established with analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method. Thernfield applications show the method is practicable and reliable.
