During the recent years, research efforts have been focused on the study of short-term behavior of FRP reinforced concrete beams. Very limited test data are available on the long-term behavior of FRP reinforced concrete beams under sustained loads. Basic studies on the long-term moment-curvature and load-deflection relationships of FRP reinforced concrete beams are needed in formulating more efficient design methods.rnThis paper presents a summary of on-going experimental studies on the long-term behavior of concrete beams reinforced with Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics (CFRP) under sustained uniform loads. Also, an analytical study was conducted to predict the long term behavior of concrete members reinforced with CFRP bars. The results are found to be in reasonable agreement with the experimental results.
