The Colfax Field Rose Run: A Reservoir Study

A reservoir study was undertaken to evaluate methods forrndepletion of the Rose Run formation located in the ColfaxrnField, Fairfield County, Ohio. The original oil-in-place andrnthe drainage area affected by the existing wells wererndetermined. Per well drainage areas ranged from 0.5-22.3rnacres, all significantly less than the state-prescribed 40-acrernspacing for wells producing from depths greater than 4000 ft.rnDepletion from existing wells, new drills, a horizontal well,rnand waterflooding was subsequently examined, primarilyrnthrough the use of black oil reservoir simulation.
