Pulsed Laser Ablation Deposition technique has been applied to grow high coercivity polycrystalline PbFe_(12)O_(19) thin films on SiO_2/Si substrates. The influence of growth parameters on the magnetic properties, such as the substrate temperature and the oxygen pressure during the deposition, is reported. The crystallization of PbFe_(12)O_(19) thin films occurs at temperatures rather below in comparison with the Sr- and Ba-M hexaferrite thin films studied previously. The values of saturation magnetization (Ms= 230 emu/cm~3) and coercivity (iHc= 3.8 kOe) obtained for films deposited at 700℃/ 3.0 mbar O_2 are a clear evidence of the complete formation of Pb hexaferrite.
